Hey, Some of You Peeps, WP Won’t Let Me Comment!

Like Laurie, and Jaypo.

I’m suspecting it has to do with posting privately, but there isn’t any point where it tells me I need to use a password, and it does let me see the post.

So ICK!

I am reading, and thinking of you.

  1. Sorry about that, Lauo! I’ll double-check my dashboard.

  2. I’ve had that problem when I’ve tried to comment without being on the original post. It’s fine once I get there. Could that be it?

  3. I get that too all the time, but if I go to ‘original post’ it works again.

  4. Stoopy WP won’t let me comment from Reader either… You have to go to the original page to comment.

Yes, the Reader is fussy that way.

This is a bit off-topic but I wish we couldn’t see everything in the Reader and also be encouraged to comment from within the Reader. If everyone stays in his or her own Reader, then what’s the point of themes and sidebars and headers, etc. on individual blogs? Feels like the Reader is trying to replace the blog itself (not that it works well for private ones). I use the Reader the way it used to be set up, just as a series of links so that I can see who’s recently posted. Then I visit the original sites. It’s an extra click but feels worth it to me.
    🙂
