  2. I agree, post convention excitement. I was trying to think back and remember when Bob Dole ran? I think there were times when he had a lead. I'm hoping people will remember that the VP isn't running the country and remember that McCain is an old, angry, white man. He doesn't believe women are equal. He picked her because he is desperate and needs a good looking chick to run the booth, like at a trade show…

  5. Part of me agrees with you. I would never choose a candidate based on his or her gender or skin color. However, I'm afraid in this election, on both sides, there will be a lot of people doing just that. And it's sad that people can't see past that stuff to issues and the quality of the candidate's character.

  7. "…no one should base their choice of candidate on gender, race, religion, etc…"You know that, and I know that. Unfortunately though, that's exactly what a percentage of the voters in the US will do in this election. Some people will stick with their party's candidates come hell or high water JUST because they are their party's candidates. Other people will vote for or against Obama because he is a black man — others will use the same reasoning for or against Palin because she's a woman. So many people don't know a damned thing about the issues and/or what the candidates will do if they're elected.&:o(

  11. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Hillary Clinton set back women in this country at least 10-20 years, probably more once this all shakes out. Hillary plain lied, got caught, lied again, ABOUT THE SAME CRAP and her supporters ate it up. She plain MADE CRAP UP and got caught, and her supporters ate it up.

  14. I'm huffing kittens as fast as I can, and they're both sick of it by now. Tonight on the way home from work I was screaming at the radio in a voice only dogs could hear, at Obama's campaign spokesman–They've stolen the momentum! Dooooo something!!! He seemed entirely too nonchalant.
Can you imagine if Hillary made the speech Palin made? The Fox Stream Media would still be burning her at the stake for it.

  15. We need to make sure that those women who think Palin is on their side is NOT, and more stuff comes out every day to prove it, such as the news that the police chief she appointed charged rape victims for the rape kits used on them, and even complained when the law was changed to forbid that practice!
